A wheelchair-friendly holiday in the Dordogne

The winter of 2023 has been full of work and renovations. And we’re delighted to be able to present the renovation of one of our PRM-friendly holiday rentals in the Dordogne.

A chalet adapted for people with reduced mobility near Sarlat in Périgord

You can rent a chalet bien-être designed to accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. Thanks to the help of our holidaymakers and their invaluable advice, this PRM chalet has been renovated to make your stay in the Dordogne as easy as possible for wheelchair users.

This charming natural chalet is located on the edge of the campsite woods. This makes it all the more peaceful and restful for a peaceful and healthy holiday in the west of France.

The parents’ bedroom

A very cocooning atmosphere with a chestnut headboard and new furniture make this bedroom very warm.

A cosy living room and kitchen

The kitchen has been moved to take advantage of the light from the bay windows. There are more drawers, lower units and shelves without doors to make it easier for wheelchair users to reach the crockery. We’ve also thought about ergonomics, with the sink and hob at the same height and enough space for wheelchair users to get their legs through.
The living area replaces the old kitchen, with a new bench and new furniture to create a cosy atmosphere.

The PRM shower room

The PRM-friendly shower room has been redone from floor to ceiling.
New linoleum was installed, along with a new shower column, a washbasin and a lift-up shower seat. A grab rail has been installed in the toilet to make it easier to move around.

The shower room and toilets have been designed to provide optimum comfort for disabled people in wheelchairs or with walkers.

We have tried to meet the needs of people with disabilities as far as possible, so that they can enjoy a relaxing holiday at our small campsite in the Dordogne.
