Born in the deep countryside of the Hauts-de-France, we have naturally and unconsciously always participated in the ecosystem that surrounds us. We feel eco-responsible for our surroundings. Obvious everyday actions to respect our environment and protect our planet.
Our campsite in the Dordogne: an ecological approach
Ecology goes hand in hand with environmental protection: the watchwords on the campsite.
Naturally, we have continued our ecological habits on our family campsite in the Dordogne and for us, being eco-responsible is part of our habits. Here are some of our practices already adopted in favour of the environment and sustainable development.
Important water management on our nature campsite
In order to save water for distribution, the campsite is equipped with rainwater collectors and allows the watering of flowered areas.
We recently installed timed taps in the toilets. The shower taps have a timer button.
There are divisional water meters per sector, which makes it easier to find leaks.
Discover a natural campsite thanks to controlled lighting
We have replaced the bulbs with low-energy bulbs in all accommodation and common buildings.
We have installed presence detectors for lighting certain toilets and dark paths.
Ecotourism is also about waste management.
You will find the implementation of selective sorting on the campsite, with an explanatory poster of the waste to be sorted.
For many years now for glass, plastic, cardboard, paper but also new this year, container for used batteries and bags available for dog excrement.
Two composters are installed on the campsite. Composting food waste, collecting mowing and shredding are recycled for green spaces.
Concerned about our environment, reducing paper consumption is also part of our actions.
For this purpose, we print on both sides and re-use the draft papers.
We have chosen electronic correspondence in order to limit the sending of paper to what is strictly necessary.
A preserved nature for a healthy campsite
The developments are designed with a view to integrating into the natural environment. No mobile homes that hit the view but chalets integrated into the environment.
You will be able to see the presence of a few small squares of aromatic plants at your disposal in the campsite.
The various bird nesting boxes perched in the trees of the campsite welcome our little ones and insect hotels are scattered on the grounds.
Sensitize our holidaymakers to our environment
Cabins are provided in each accommodation for recycled waste.
At the reception desk we provide documentation on the natural sites to visit. You will find many hikes from the campsite. We can recommend thematic hikes such as the one organized around orchids… Wildlife and floristic walks always very pleasant for the whole family.
Green camping right down to the shopping experience
A small grocery store is at your disposal on the campsite, where you can find basic necessities, which will limit car travel.
On-site sale of products from local production: wine, jam, cakes, walnut mustard, walnut oil…
A dream soon to come true
Gilles has been committed to a major project for many years! He has always dreamed of expanding his knowledge to beekeeping. So why not install one or two beehives on the campsite?
Perhaps during your next stays, you will be able to visit our hives and enjoy our honey!
